317L has fantastic corrosion resistance in an extensive variety of chemicals, particularly in acidic chloride situations, for example, those experienced in pulp and paper plants. Increased levels of chromium, nickel and molybdenum contrasted with 316L stainless steel enhance resistance to chloride pitting and general corrosion.
