Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that is resistant to corrosion. Alloy C276 is suitable for many chemical process applications. Hastelloy C-276 has superior resistance to localized corrosion as well as oxidizing. Hastelloy C276 has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
Hastelloy Alloy C276 Round Bar has properties as below :-
1. Excellent corrosion resistance in reducing environments.
2.One of few materials to withstand the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypo-chloride and chlorine dioxide.
3.High nickel and molybdenum contents providing good corrosion resistance in reducing environments.
4. Low carbon content which minimizes grain-boundary carbide precipitation during welding to maintain resistance to corrosion in heat-affected zones of welded joints.
5. Exceptional resistance to strong solutions of oxidizing salts, such as ferric and cupric chlorides.
6. Resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting and stress-corrosion cracking.
